Discover a night-long fusion of Carnatic tradition and spontaneous improvisation at Planet Tree Music Festival. Vocalist Manickam Yogeswaran joins forces with Lawrence Ball’s piano and a dynamic ensemble for an immersive Raga Gala under shifting hues of light.Embark on a transcendent musical journey as renowned vocalist Manickam Yogeswaran and his Carnatic ensemble unite with pianist Lawrence Ball for an all-night concert. From 21:00 to 01:00, immerse yourself in an expansive Raga Gala, where intricate ragas unfold through the interplay of violin, mridangam and morsing, guided by Yogeswaran’s evocative voice. As the clock advances, the spotlight turns to a stirring violin solo, followed by a delicate flute and veena duo that carries the audience into the early morning hours. Throughout the night, Synthaesis’ evolving light and colour projections transform the historic hall into a living canvas, enhancing every improvisational flourish and tonal shift.
