Overview

Diana – Princess of the People is a powerful stage musical that tells the inspiring story of Princess Diana, celebrating her compassion, courage, and lasting impact on the world.

After its run in Rio de Janeiro, the musical "Diana – The People's Princess" arrives in São Paulo for the first time in May 2026 , expanding the reach of a story that continues to fascinate, debate, and move people around the world. Adapted and directed by Tadeu Aguiar , the production, presented by the Ministry of Culture and Bradesco Seguros, is produced by Estamos Aqui Produções , responsible for award-winning successes such as *Almost Normal *, *The Color Purple* , and *Dear Evan Hansen *, and premieres on May 14th at the Teatro Liberdade . This non-replica Brazilian production offers a unique perspective on the life of the woman who conquered the world—without sacrificing the sophistication, essence, and emotional impact of this true story. Tickets are already on sale through Sympla.

In this new production, the show delves into nuances closer to the emotional reality of the princess , addressing her humanity, complexity, and strength. The woman who revolutionized the British monarchy, transforming pain into voice and empathy into legacy, now gains body and soul in a staging that focuses on emotion and scenic grandeur , under the direction of a sharp creative team.

The cast consists of 23 actors and centers around Sara Sarres , one of the most respected voices in Brazilian musical theater, with a career marked by prominent roles in major productions both in and outside of Brazil, who returns to the country's stages after a five-year hiatus. Alongside her are Claudio Lins as Prince Charles, Simone Centurione as Queen Elizabeth, and Giselle Prattes as Camilla Parker Bowles. Together, these characters drive the main emotional, institutional, and public conflicts that permeate the lives of the princess and the British Royal Family, while the remaining cast members—whose names will be revealed soon—complete the ensemble responsible for giving depth and breadth to the narrative.

With musical direction by Thalyson Rodrigues , the Brazilian production features set design by Natália Lana , costumes by Ney Madeira and Dani Vidal , choreography by Sueli Guerra , and makeup by Anderson Bueno . Production coordination is by Norma Thiré , with general production by Eduardo Bakr .

Secure your spot and come experience and be amazed by this story that continues to spark fascination, debate, and emotion around the world.
