As St Marylebone’s concert hall welcomes its season finale, Assistant Director of Music Luke Mitchell invites you on a journey through baroque splendor. The first half unfolds with selected works by Vivaldi, Bach, and Muffat—spirited sinfonias, elegant fugues, and graceful dance movements that evoke the grandeur of 18th-century courts. In the second half, Vivaldi’s Four Seasons bursts forth in all its effervescent glory: vivid strings conjure spring’s awakening, summer’s storms, autumn’s harvest, and winter’s hush, each movement infused with boundless originality and dramatic flair. This radiant evening celebrates the ingenuity of baroque masters and delivers a finale rich in color, contrast, and the timeless power of music to transport and inspire.
