Programme
Overview

Luo Dayou joins the 16-member Spring Dragon Symphony Orchestra for a large-scale concert reimagining his best-known songs through new orchestral arrangements. The Wuhan performances form the final stop of the 2026 Spring Dragon Symphony Night tour.

The 2026 Spring Dragon Symphony Night Concert brings together Taiwanese singer-songwriter Luo Dayou and the 16-member Spring Dragon Symphony Orchestra. The project combines Luo Dayou’s classic popular music with orchestral arrangements incorporating both Chinese and Western instrumental sounds. Familiar songs are presented in new arrangements designed specifically for the concert-hall setting.

The 2026 edition is built around the theme of “birth” and renewal, taking its inspiration from “Birth”, the opening song of Luo Dayou’s 1983 album The Future’s Master. The programme spans several decades of his songwriting, connecting personal memories with broader changes in Chinese-language popular culture.

The Wuhan performances are the final stop of the 2026 tour. The concert is presented as a meeting between pop music and classical concert-hall performance, with the Spring Dragon Symphony Orchestra providing a large-scale orchestral setting for Luo Dayou’s songs.
