Die Glocke is a historic and highly celebrated concert hall located in the very heart of Bremen, Germany. Originally opened in 1928 and completely renovated in the late 1990s, the venue is widely renowned for its elegant Art Deco design and its world-class, pristine acoustic properties. In fact, legendary conductor Herbert von Karajan once ranked it among the top three concert halls in Europe.

A spectacular Verdi gala featuring internationally acclaimed tenor Jonas Kaufmann and soprano Marina Rebeka, performing highlights from Verdi’s greatest operas with the Deutsche Staatsphilharmonie Rheinland-Pfalz under the baton of Jochen Rieder.
Verdi at His Finest celebrates the dramatic power and melodic brilliance of Giuseppe Verdi’s operas. Jonas Kaufmann and Marina Rebeka bring their internationally acclaimed voices to a programme of famous arias, duets and orchestral excerpts from masterpieces including Aida, La traviata, Otello, Don Carlo and Un ballo in maschera. They are joined by the Deutsche Staatsphilharmonie Rheinland-Pfalz, conducted by Jochen Rieder, for an evening dedicated to the passion, tragedy and grandeur of Verdi’s music.
