Programme
Overview
A rare Belgian gem meets jazz fireworks and Bohemian soul in one dazzling chamber music evening. Discover Ryelandt’s lush Trio No.1, Kapustin’s jazz-infused Divertissement and Dvořák’s spellbinding Dumky Trio. This season's grand finale brings together three distinct voices from the piano trio repertoire. In the opening, Joseph Ryelandt’s Trio No.1 unveils a sumptuous late-Romantic sound world, with expansive melodies and warm chamber textures. Next, Nikolai Kapustin’s Divertissement bursts forth with jazz-inspired rhythms, syncopated flair and virtuosic zest that bridges concert hall and jazz club. The evening closes with Antonín Dvořák’s beloved Dumky Trio, where melancholic laments intertwine with lively Bohemian dance, leaving audiences enveloped in bittersweet lyricism and spirited charm. Performed by the ensemble that champions Ryelandt’s music, this programme promises an evening of profound emotion and dazzling artistry.
