Programme

Overview

Dive into an evening of Bohemian brilliance as the Dvořák Piano Quartet channels authentic Czech flair, opening with Brahms’s storm-tossed G minor and flowing into Dvořák’s dance-infused Op.87. Secure your seat for a concert where every note feels in their blood.Granted the right to bear Dvořák’s name by his descendants, this celebrated Czech ensemble brings unparalleled insight to two towering piano quartets. They ignite Brahms’s stormy G minor with fiery exchanges between piano and strings before revealing Dvořák’s radiant Op.87, alive with lyrical melodies and rhythmic dance motifs that evoke the heart of Bohemia. Their seamless interplay, honed as if in lifelong kinship, transforms each phrase into a vivid journey through passion, lyricism and folklore—an evening of chamber music truly in their DNA.
