Overview

On October 10, the Alisher Navoi State Academic Bolshoi Theater will host the Japan-Uzbek Music Festival, featuring the Tumor dance ensemble, the National Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan under the direction of Alibek Kabdurakhmanov, Japanese singer and composer Tokiko Kato, pianist Yoko Kanno, and special guest opera singer Zhenisbek Piyazov.

The evening's program will feature works performed by the National Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan and a vocal program by Tokiko Kato. Among them are the famous "A Million Scarlet Roses," "Sometimes We Remember the Past"—the ending theme to the animated film "Porco Rosso," and "Higashikawa's Song: This Is the Center of the Earth."
